100 YEARS HELLENIC VETERINARY MEDICAL SOCIETY
In 2024, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society. Throughout these years, its journey has not been without challenges and obstacles. However, its contribution has been and continues to be undeniable, and there have certainly been remarkable individuals who worked tirelessly for it.
Today, the new, modern Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society hopes to become a point of reference and a center of attraction for the engagement and participation of the new generation of veterinarians. With enthusiasm and vision, we all hope they will continue its mission.

-In 1928, the first social event of the Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society took place at the “OASIS” center of ZAPPEION (today AIGLI), attended by almost all its members residing in Athens at the time.
-In 2024, on September 13, the 100th-anniversary celebration of the Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society’s founding was held at Gazarte – Athens Cultural Hub.
